There are problems in the United States, some can be handled, some cannot. But people do have a say on what is happening around our glorious United States of America. One of the biggest problems we have is immigration. Currently, so many people are fighting over it, but we never concluded what to do with illegal immigrants. Let me start off by saying what defines an “illegal immigrant.” It indicates to be an alien (non-citizen) who has entered the United States without government permission (lawdicitonary.com). According to Google trends(2016) the history of illegal immigrants debate, took a turn for action in 2004 as many events happened during that time period. There was a study done in 2012 from the Center of American progress, which stated various reasons how legalizing immigrants in our economy will help improve the GDP for our country and in fact if it happens it will also not hinder it. Surprisingly, the statistics from the article stated, that at least 453 billion would be deducted annually from the GDP if the illegal immigrants were to be deported (Americanprogress.org). Then, if for some unexpected reason, it was decided to be acceptable to deport every single unauthorized person. Then, it would cost an astronomical price over a period of time. I’m thinking during this economic crisis, unnecessary money should not be spent on just the fact that people are here unauthorized. There is one thing that does hit me intensely. That this day and age, that some of my family members that are presumably considered the term of “illegal immigrants.” Who are actually paying taxes, but still under fear of being deported. I have a personal experience, in which this happened. My uncle was an illegal immigrant for quite some time, but the thing was he was a law abiding “alien.” He would follow the laws like a normal american working hard to earn his money and even paid the necessary taxes from working and properties. One of the examples, that tend come about the most, is that with legalizing illegal immigrants they believe that more families will come because the current visa holder is able to get them paperwork that is needed for them become legal is aswell. I believe that all families should be able to have a life together no matter what, why would they suffer from being separated, what would happened if american families were separated 4,000 miles away just because the other person had to work to make a life for the family left alone. Another example of these, is that people who were born in the US believe that immigrants are bound to take more the jobs that hard working american should have. I refute this, because there has been statistics done, that at least 1.4 million jobs would be created(thinkprogress.org). I also believe if we ever possibly do run out of jobs, there are many choices that people can do as an alternative. Therefore, it’s not the fact that we might run out of jobs, it 's the possibility that people don’t want a job they will not like or because it 's an embarrassing place to work. While it’s true that atleast 70 percent of illegal immigrants do not pay taxes, while a surprising 30 percent do(immigrationpolicy.org). The fact that 30 percent do actually pay taxes should give you an idea
