At 11:30am on Friday, October 9th there was a shooting. It happened at the Texas Southern University, near downtown Houston, a historically black university.
After an argument broke out in the parking lot outside student housing at the Texas Southern University campus. During this incident, 2 men were shot. The argument was between about 5-6 men. During the argument, one of them ran to their car and pulled out a handgun. He shot both of the men they were arguing with killing one 18 year old freshman and leaving the other wounded. The university went into lockdown after notified about the shooting. After about 3 hours, the lockdown was lifted. Two people have been arrested in connection with the shooting and police are looking for a third suspect.
