In modern society, technology rules over nearly every aspect of peoples’ lives. Whether they’re using a smartphone to connect with those around them, or they’re using a GPS navigator to find the best route from point A to point B, or even if they’re utilizing a vehicle with push-to-start capabilities. Advancements in the world of technology are never-ending. While not everyone may be pro-technology, most people would agree that it is beneficial to humans in more ways than one. In a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in partnership with Smithsonian Magazine (2014), 66% of people who had received a college-level education believed that technological changes will lead to a future where people’s lives are mostly better. In particular, these advancements towards vehicles could lead to the “greatest health achievement of the century.” (Brown, M., 2015) Cars have evolved to become self-driving, and have, in turn, started a revolution in the auto industry in terms of safety, ecological friendliness, and global accessibility. Citizens who are unable to drive normally due to any number of circumstances whether due to poor vision, paralysis, mental instability, etc., could be safely transported from one place to another without the need of an aide and, in the event of an emergency, could be taken to the hospital to receive immediate medical treatment. This could prove incredibly useful for those who desire to be more independent in their day-to-day living but are unable to properly handle a standard vehicle, yet again revolutionizing the way humans
