Research Methodology This chapter represents and describes the research design, research setting,sampling procedure,data gathering instruments and statistical treatments of data.
Research Design The descriptive method of research was used in this study.With this it does not only require the collection and tabulation of data,but also it entails describing the data presented in this paper.In particular, the study attempted to describe and analyze the factors that lead the development of tardiness among the students of Xavier University High School.
Research Setting The research was done in Xavier University Highschool- Ateneo de Cagayan, Cagayan de Oro City. June 1999 marked the beginning of co-education at XUHS and the

Francisco Demetrio,Fr.Robert de Nobili,Fr. Federico Faura,Fr. Matteo Ricci , Fr. Pierre Teilhard,Fr. Christopher Clavius,Fr. Eduardo Hontiveros,Gerard Manley Hopkins,Fr. Rodolfo Cabonce,Fr. Joseph Pignatelli.Finially,in the Fourth Year level,it was Bl. Miguel Pro,Fr.Carl Hausmann,Fr. Pedro Arrupe,Fr. William Masterson, St. Alberto Hurtado,St. Pedro Calungsod,Bl. Rupert Mayer,Fr.Horacio Dela Costa,Fr. Ignacio Ellacuria,Schol . Richard Fernando, and St. Lorenzo Ruiz.In sum, 42 classes were considered in this study from each year level.
For the respondent, there will be on-the-spot choice of respondents.Thus, there were five students from each class who answered the survey forms. This was a total of 210 respondents.Table A shows the sample size by year level. Table A.
