The new facility and opportunity for a wide range of medical training will attract residents to the area. This is beneficial to the hospital and the community.
2. Establishment of a preventative, diagnostic mobile team.
a. The team will be able to reach and treat those community members who are not able to drive, the elderly, and those who may not have access to health insurance.
b. The team will drive a designated route to the locations, deemed most in need, once quarterly to provide basic health services such as flu shots, blood pressure monitoring, wellness checks for children, and immunizations at local schools.
c. The team will consist of one doctor and two resident doctors to make the staffing more cost efficient and provide more opportunities for residents to become familiar with the health needs of the community.
d. The team will help ensure that any medical situations of a concern to the community as a whole, such as chickenpox, influenza, infectious diseases, are identified to help control outbreaks in the communities.
