Depression is a common disorder that many people may face at some point in their life for a variety of reason. It is a complex disease because there is not a set reason as to why it is caused. Some reasons depression might occur is from distressing situations that take place, from a series of life altering trials or sometimes from a serious health condition. Depression symptoms may be kept under control by medication but they will never be completely cured from medicine. However, medications other than antidepressants may be unknowingly beneficial in getting rid of depression symptoms and should be monitored carefully. Depression is a disease that should not be taken lightly because each person will react from the symptoms differently. Symptoms of depression may vary, depending on the person and the severity of their condition. Minor symptoms might include trouble in concentrating, recollecting details and making decisions. Fatigue is a very common symptom, which makes a person lazy lose energy. After a person is fatigued for a period of time they might become irritable and restless as a result. However, more evident and severe symptoms might include “persistent sad, anxious, or “empty” feelings” (http://www.webmd.com/depression/guide/detecting-depression#1).
