High school athletics have impacted every aspect of my life, including my overall perception of myself. Personally, my entire high school career has been dedicated to cheerleading. Participating in this sport all four years of high school has provided me with opportunities to meet new people and improved leadership skills. I have learned the value of team building, dedication, responsibility, and determination. As I look back on all of the hard work, sweat and tears left on the cheerleading mats, I also recognize those who gave up their time to help me and how that has led me to help others.…

Eleven years prior, school football player Kevin Plank became weary of changing the overwhelming, sweat-soaked cotton T-shirts under his pullover. He contrived a skin-tight engineered shirt that "wicked-away" sweat - and took advantage of a profound unmet need among competitors. Presently, Under Armour is the lord of the "pressure" athletic clothing business sector, coming to the distance down to the grade school play area, where its $20-$40 T-shirts and turtlenecks are must-have things. In the interim, CEO Plank has fanned out to offer everything from gloves to duffel sacks. That has sent deals taking off 56% a year since 2002, to $271.3 million in 2005.…

Problems within the Lines “The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will, and a lack of change”-Vince Lombardi. Unfortunately, in the 2014 and 2015 football season they have a combined record of 5-13, which does not live up to the standards of the DeWitt community. There are many problems circulating the football program, but most involve the lack of experience in coaching. NFL Preview Part Three: The AFC North 1. Pittsburgh Steelers: 11-5 Key Additions: DeAngelo Williams, Bud Dupree Key Losses: Troy Polamalu, Jason Worilds, Brett Keisel At the end of last season the Steelers were arguably playing the best of any team in the NFL, but a week 17 injury to superstar running back Le’Veon Bell left them in shambles for the playoffs, ultimately leading to their defeat at the hands of division rival Baltimore. With almost all of their offensive personal returning, the Steelers offense looks to be one of the most dangerous offenses in the entire league.
