She missed her old home, her Mulberry tree, her friends, but she most of all miss’s her old school. Soon after the refugees arrived, most schools were unsafe to attend. Also many schools were often too crowded, expensive or in an unreachable area. But, after 2013, over 90,000 children were enrolled in educational camps, schools or care centers. That might seem like a lot but, there are over 575,000 kids that are not enrolled into something educational. One day one of Diana’s aid worker friends suggested a refugee camp for kids like her. She was thrilled about this news! She got enrolled into the school. The school did not only help her with education, but also social help, it helps all people become less dramatized, and gives students and family a sense of normalcy. Every day Diana takes a minibus to her school because the walk is far too far and dangerous for her to walk. She learns math, music and English. She also get refreshments like bananas, croissants, and juice for free. Being daunted by the amount of refugees here is no struggle many say. Going to school again and making new friends has impacted her life in good ways, and in bad ways. As
