Drug and Substance Abuse
This is a situation whereby one or both parents are users of either drugs or any other substance that tampers with the standard functioning of the body. In most cases, these substances destabilize the body leading to loss of self-control and also deny respect for other people. These expectations lead to disappointments when it comes to taking care of their children. Also, children need a lot of attention especially when they are young, and it becomes difficult for most of the parents to accept this fact. This leads to child abuse because some parents are unable to handle this situation. This is common in teenagers and young parents whose children are products of unplanned pregnancies. Child abuse also happens as a result of disabled children whose attention requires a lot of time than was their expectations when they decided to be parents. This problem can only be eliminated through guidance and counselling or even attendance of parenting
