Everyday there is always a student who drops out of school whether if they are in high school or college, which isn’t a good thing and that is because now that we are in the 21st century you can’t just drop out of school and go work on a family farm majority of the jobs need at least a high school diploma. The bad effects this decision can have on one are life altering. These decisions can and will affect every aspect of your life. The type of job you might receive is one major effect. It could be something as not being able to find a good stable job to support yourself and your family if you have one. Where someone with a high school diploma could find more jobs that are not offered to someone who doesn 't have their diploma. A high school dropout will earn $200,000 less than a high school graduate over his lifetime. And almost a million dollars less than a college graduate. Not graduating high school doesn 't only affect you it affects the people around you like your family, this involves the way they look at the dropout’s career and life style. The difference in lifestyles of dropouts versus high school graduates are tremendous. Also, if the dropout plans on raising a child the child is going to look up to their parent and think it is ok to drop out because their parent did. According to statistics in the U.S., high school dropouts commit about seventy percent of crimes. However, 6.3 percent of high school dropouts end up incarcerated at some point between the ages of 16 and 24.The Education Testing Service reports that each high school dropout who turns to drugs or crime costs the country between $1.7 million to 2.3 million over a person 's lifetime. Dropping out of high school can have little effects like for instance high school is a good place to explore knowledgeable interests like play team sports, make new friends, or join clubs and getting involved.
