Story Analysis: Analysis Of The Root Cause Of Marriage

A certain boy named Thomas fell in love with a beautiful girl which he met on his way to work. The two were lovebirds that everyone could admire. After a couple of years in their relationship they decided to marry each other. Of which the boy had not done thorough research about his girlfriend’s background. Thomas went on to pay lobola and the dates for the wedding were set. On their weeding day they were all like angels. After the wedding they proceeded to honeymoon. When they came back from the honey moon that is where the conflict started. The wife failed to perform her duties up to the extent of not cooking to her husband. A newly wedded couple fought over equal rights. The wife wanted the husband to take duties in household chores but because of stereotype the husband refused totally. The wife wanted to move out or abandon the marriage because the husband was not cooperative. Analysis of the situation using the Root Cause Analysis technique is that the wife failed to perform some of her matrimonial duties. She was also exercising the equal rights in her marriage instead of using them at work place. She was the boss at her workplace so she wanted to do the same at home. She should learn to do the basic house chores either by going to the school or learning from others. This cause is human. The parents of the wife should have taught their child way back before marriage how to do the house chore. This shows that she spoiled in her childhood. And the reason could be there was a helper at their house so everything was done by the helper. I can see them fighting and quarreling the rest of their life. The wife seems that she is not ready to change and she is taking things lightly. The impact is very strong it can lead to husband abandoning the marriage, looking for a second wife or divorce if the wife is not willing to change or to submit to her husband. The sequence was an everyday thing because she could not spread the bed, cook for the husband of which they are daily chores. The wife was not being submissive and she wanted equal rights with her husband forgetting that the husband is the head of the house. The parents failed to catch her young. The bible says train up a child the way he should go so that when she is old she will not depart from it. The situation ended up involving third parties and the couple failed to come to mutual understanding. The wife had a feeling that she was a boss both at work and home. The only remedy was to take back the wife to her parents for lessons or involve private tutors and she is supposed to have a willing heart besides that all their plan were going in vain. She must have a teachable spirit so that she can be quick to learn. She should also show that she has interest in her marriage for thing to work out.
