The Goal
While others struggled to figure out what they would research for their personal project, I immediately knew that my presentation would be about South Korean Cosmetic Surgery. Cosmetic surgery has fascinated me since I was young. The idea of being able to alter an individual’s facial features and mold it into his or her own creation simply intrigues me into an abyss of admiration. I plan on becoming a cosmetic surgeon after college, so what better way to explore the expanses of South Korean cosmetic surgery than make it the main topic for my personal project?

Poor time management, I must say, was a major issue I faced when working on my personal project. The experience t aught me how to better differentiate my time management and be able to focus on more than one academic pursuit. It gave me a strong grasp for what will be expected in college. Never have I ever felt like how I did as I was trying to complete this project. Nevertheless, it helped me learn how to use my time more efficiently and provided me with a broader understanding of the human mind. I used to think South Koreans simply got cosmetic surgery to look more attractive, but after completing this project, I learned to look into a topic of discussion before running to assumptions.
My research led me to conclude that the human brain is easily influenced if done correctly from a young age. A child who has grown up around family members who’ve gotten cosmetic surgery will simply find cosmetic surgery a normal, daily life occurrence whilst children who have not been exposed to cosmetic surgery will either be intrigued or disgusted by it.
Overall, I’ve attained many skills such as being a critical thinker, managing my time better, and looking passed false illusions in search of reality. Despite all the hardships I’ve experienced throughout doing this project, I wouldn’t mind going through the
