The relationship towards the client is that he is my boss. Juan is a 21-year-old automotive technician who graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute. The nature of the problem is that the client is having trouble expressing and understanding his feelings. This inability to express his feelings causes the client to have relationship problems with his girlfriend. He wants to understand himself and be able to express his feelings appropriately. The client thinks that his relationship will improve if he can express what he is feeling to his girlfriend. The client is not married, but is in a serious relationship with his girlfriend. He has a daughter who is five years of age. The client is an only child who still lives at home with both parents. The strategies intended for this session were to help the client explore his feelings so that he can better understand what his emotions are. I was able to open the client’s thought and the client, on his own, came up with a new solution for his concern. In the transcript section client 21, the client came up with the solution of taking 5 minutes to reflect and explore his feelings before showing his anger. Alternatives that were discussed were in the transcript section therapist 26, where I stated to the client if it were possible for him to not answer when questions about his feelings arouse. Another alternative was to take time before asking out in anger and reflect on his emotion to understand what he is truly feeling at that moment. The only conflict that was needed to be addressed was when the client stated that he felt upset, but showed anger instead of sadness. A solution and alternative plan for the issue was
