Macro Level Social Work Case Study

At the micro level the social worker should lay emphasis on how parents educate their children about good touch/bad touch, being aware of their surroundings, being open-minded, and supportive of the child. Social workers working with children affected by sexual abuse the social worker and the therapist one on one. The social worker main responsibility is to link the child to the resources he/she needs.
At the mezzo level interventions involves the local community and those working with the victims. Mezzo level involves focusing on changing a whole group or organization. The social worker must get the dialog about child sexual started and get the community involved. Social workers may engage the community by offering training to make the community rethink how they approach the topic of child sexual abuse how it affect the victims, quality of service, and funding like the panel mentioned. …show more content…

Implications to consider when working with children affected by sexual abuse and childhood trauma comprises developing needed resources to benefit victims of childhood sexual abuse and childhood trauma, program evaluation, macro-level advocacy that involve legislative advocacy, and taking legal action regarding childhood sexual abuse and childhood trauma.
