In the novel, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and the movie Divergent both interpret many similarities, in conjunction with many differences. The novel is about a nation of Panem which is divided into 12 districts along with the Capitol. The protagonist is a girl named Katniss Everdeen who is forced to engage in a fight-to-the-death tournament after volunteering as tribute, in replacement of her sister. Divergent well demonstrates very similar concepts as it took place in a dystopian society leading to dehumanized and often fearful lives.
