of their poverty. This is how Daisy and Myrtle are in the Great Gatsby by F. Scott
Fitzgerald. Daisy and Myrtle can be immensely different, yet surprisingly similar
in ways such as their interests/desires, how the opposite sex treats them, how they treat
the opposite sex, and other attributes.
It is intriguing to see that Daisy and Myrtle have many different aspects in the
story, that show deeper into the character. One of Daisy's interest or desires is to
put pain in Tom's heart by making him filled with envy with Gatsby. Myrtle has a

conveys that Myrtle was not even allowed to say Daisy's name in front of Tom
because Tom has no regard for her.
As one may go along the story one may think that Daisy and Myrtle are
complete polar opposites, but later on they show many similarities. One similarity
is that Daisy found her interest in money and the lavish lifestyle. Myrtle also found her
interest in the good lifestyle and in the happiness of money. They both adore this idea
that Tom can give them the money and lifestyle. They treat men with the same regard,
as in, they use men for the content of their heart. For this reason, Daisy uses Gatsby
and shows that she is unhappily married with Tom. Likewise, Myrtle longs to live as the
rich do and is not content with her current marriage to Wilson.
When you first elaborate on the characters of Daisy and Myrtle, they seem
completely different; Although they carried many similarities. They have
characteristics In their interests, how male treat them, how they treat male, and
other specific items. Daisy and Myrtle shared many characteristics in their
personality, yet they deal with the same
