When a child gets injured it is really scary. When it occurs in an organized sport that is supposed to be a safety haven for an enjoyable activity then it can be a tragedy. If the proper equipment is utilized then the risk of injuries decreases and safety is improved. Children or teen-agers that get injured while playing an organized sport may benefit from rules and regulations that are designed to protect players. Many of the injuries that can occur are very dangerous, sometimes even life-threatening, and can possibly change a person’s life forever. If a child gets hurt in a unique manner while playing competitive sports the parents may want to talk to an administrator or lawmakers to advocate for not only their child but the future safety of others as well. More parents will allow children to play sports if as many safety precautions as possible are being taken by coaches, leagues, and authorities. Although children sometimes get injured playing sports, even with every appropriate precaution already being used, we should make more rules to prevent sports injuries. After an injury does occur, it is also essential to validate the injury and verify by medical staff that the individual involved is sufficiently recovered before his or her return the field, court, course, or pool.
