According to Merriam-Webster euthanasia is defined as a practice of act of killing someone who is very sick or injured in order to prevent any more suffering, which is also known as mercy killing or assisted suicide. This act is usually performed by the physician at the patient’s consent or the patient’s guardian consent if she or he is incapable to do so, this is known as involuntary euthanasia. The word euthanasia is derived from the Greeks and means “good death”, to have a right to ends one’s life from suffering and agony. Euthanasian in most of the United States is illegal, however there are few states like California that allows assisted suicide. Many believe that euthanasia is only right within legitimate circumstances and this paper with further clarify this point of view. Euthanasia should become legal because no one should be forced to live under excessive pain.
