Chicken and Beast In today food industry billions of companies and industries are producing food everyday for our huge population in the US. But what consumers of food don’t really know is what they’re eating. For example, you may be eating a two-pound rotisserie chicken for you and family, but you may not know what the chicken as been through. An average chicken life span in a chicken farming factory is three months, it’s a fast and sad process. Chicken in these conditions are being pumped with harmful hormones to make them fat and plump.
There so many harmful risks to our health by these chickens, for example, these chicken live in cooped area where they barely see the daylight. They are all together, they can barley walk due the limited

But the problem is not all family can afford to eat health chicken. Free range chicken is very expensive compared to regular chicken because it healthier and the chicken can actually be able to roam freely on farm. Its said a “whole, generic store-brand chicken typically costs about $1.50 per pound, the price for organic chicken is $2.69 a pound at Trader Joe 's, the U.S. grocery chain, and $4.99 per pound from online grocer Fresh Direct. Whole Foods sells boneless, skinless organic chicken breasts for $8.99 per pound.” This proves low income family wont be able afford good health while family that makes good money can. Its said low income family’s are more prone to have health issues well in this country healthy food is expensive while most fast and junk food is cheaper.
In the U.S we just have come to conclusion on solving these problems on health and also solve problem why is fast food cheaper then healthy food. We have to make changes also on the way we eat but we as a society tend to blame these corporations for our health issues and me I think it goes both ways and it is our responsibility on making a choice. In the best solution for us is to just stop eating chicken or not eat it that often or buy the health choice chicken even if cost little more what’s more important your health or saving a couple
