Teachers can facilitate learning in the sensory center by observing children’s play or by even joining in on the activity with students. Teachers can facilitate by joining in and asking students open-ended questions, creating challenges, and promoting new vocabulary. Teachers can facilitate by observing and documenting individual children’s learning.

The stages of art in early childhood are the scribble stage, the preschematic stage, and the schematic stage. My target child is in the preschematic stage. I know this because my target child will often draw tadpole figures that represent his family. In addition, I have observed my target drawing objects disproportionate. For example, Target has drawn his classmates, and the ones who he had a closer friendship with where larger than his other peers in the drawing.
