The textbook defines self-efficacy as the confidence a person has to perform a task. There are four sources of belief as it relates to self-efficacy. The four beliefs are prior experience, behavior models, persuasion from others, and assessment of physical and emotional state (Kinicki & Kreitner, 2012). A recent article in the Journal of Sports Science & Medicine supports the positive impact of Self-Efficacy. The authors recruited and analyzed 122 adults for a fifty-two- week study. The study focused on the subjects exercise behavior over one year. The study concluded that decisive Self-Efficacy intervention proved to be beneficial in the short term (Middlekamp, Van Rooijen, Wolfhagen, & Steenbergen, 2017). I am currently a member of
