One strength of our speech was we were able to convey the information vividly.I took some of the suggestions about using figurative language and painting a picture for the audience when I mentioned a movie example.A difficulty we had since the speech was a technical topic was trying to incorporate a relevant entertaining part to the speech but we had several examples to keep the audience interested incorporated in the story as we thought about the audience age group and the pop culture references they would understand.Although our speech was comprehensible and had a very strong visual aid aspect to it we missed out on some of the points that Eleanor Longden a Ted talk speaker who gave a similar speech on Schizophrenia excelled on. Her ability to give extemporaneous speech was far above ours, while we used note cards she was able to talk to her audience without anything to refer back to. In fact the notecards became a sort of anxiety coping mechanism for me as I would look at them even though I wasn't using any of the information that was written on them.She was also very skilled in the way she let the audience
