San Diego Environmental Services Department San Diego, California is a wonderful city that is lively and full of many attractions for the residents and visitors of all ages can enjoy themselves. These attractions include beaches, theme parks, museums, and cruises. In addition, San Diego is immediately adjacent to the Mexico borders in which people can visit to get acquainted with their culture. According to the San Diego Tourism Authority (2014), San Diego is California’s second largest city and the United States’ eight largest with a citywide population of nearly 1.3 million residents and more than 3 million residents countywide. It is renowned for its idyllic climate and terrain varying from gentle foothills to mile-high mountains for endless opportunities to hike, camp, fish, observe wildlife and much more. With so many attractions, recreational activities, and residents in a 4,526 square miles area, San Diego adheres strictly to the rules and regulations established by the local environmental services department. The Environmental Services Department was established by the San Diego County in 1988 to protect the environment and to provide all San Diego residents with properly disposed municipal solid waste, along with an environmental free of litter and illegal dumping.
