The American Revolution was a brutal fight for freedom from the British. The Revolution would cause separation and would form the United States of America. The conflict started when British started giving the people “taxation without representation” which gave the people no say in what taxes would be enforced. This would lead to a revolt that would last many years and be lead by one wise leader under the name of George Washington. Washington was a key part of the American Revolution, he is memorable for being the highest ranking officer, and leader of the initiative that helped form the United States of America. George set many rules and guidelines for our country. He the first president of the United States which set the 2 term limit (Edwards). He then went on to establish the 3 branches of government named legislative branch, the executive branch, and the judicial branch which kept helped to maintain a system of checks and balances. Washington also established the government with principles of peace, debt management, and a legacy of prosperity (George Washington U.S President, General). Without George Washington winning the Revolutionary War, the United States of America might not be here today. Krensky states, “Without the victory over Britain and gaining independence we might have never been a country and the United States would not be here“(Krensky). This is telling us that without winning the war, the United States would never have gained independence. This infers that without George Washington’s leadership and vision of the United States, we may not exist a superpower country today. George was an outstanding man, He set a great moral example of what a leader should be. Washington taught liberty is bigger than any one person (Edwards). Consequently, everyone should have a voice in politics. George Washington was a man that sparked the beginning of our country. Without him, the United States as we know it would not exist
