The first article was entitled “Growing through Grief”. The title itself speaks volumes of what I believe the reasoning behind the purpose of having to endure the grief process in the first place. It has been noted that acceptance does not imply that you have the answers but allows the person the freedom to express themselves and provides a safe place to morn. I believe that praying without ceasing is one of the most power suggestions within this article. In the past I have experienced pain so numbing that I couldn’t pray. On one occasion as I allowed myself to fall into a depression, I could almost hear the prayers of the saints who were up laboring in prayer on my behalf. It is one thing to say a little popcorn prayer for someone or mention their name at the end of a list of selfish request to the Lord. It’s a whole other level that is reached when you labor in prayer, as if the pain was your own for someone else.
