Without writing the student would not connect pictures without words. Writing and reading go hand in hand because a child learns to write before reading they begin using motor skills where grabbing any pencil or marker they begin scribbling. Next they become older where they use environmental print and pictures to tell a story which to them that’s reading a book. The beginning of reading mainly involves looking at pictures and telling the story from but then it starts building towards learning to read the print. But also before the child becomes exposed to environmental which builds the child’s print concept.
