Being exposed to different cultures can help a child understand their parents’ differences in culture, tradition, and beliefs which will enrich a child of knowledge, and less ignorant than others. Even if the child is just one race, they can still learn and enlarge their minds of culture with their own or other cultures as well. For some racial children, it is easy for them to only adopt to one culture more than the other because of how they were raised, spending more time growing up as their dominant race that they’ve grown up with rather than their other race, making “the other race” weaker and less aware of the culture that’s not being taught. While others may be strong in both cultures, growing up with the dominant culture, but also being exposed and educated on their other race as well which is well known for being a cultural duelist (Diringe. 2015). Being a cultural dualist is having a strong sense of both cultures, even though one may consider themselves to be a little more Irish than Hispanic, for example, because of their surroundings, but as long as they still try to educate themselves on both cultures and traditions, they won’t be taking one race
