For lab 2, our group has a hard time working on some part. There were several mistakes, which hold us for the entire hour. First, writing code wasn’t bad, but the error made in the code takes time to debug it. And even for the pin planner, we had assigned a wrong pin on some output/input, which also take time to re-assign it.
Building and Testing Truth Tables (Concurrent logic)
At the beginning of this lab, we had pretty tough time understanding the 40-pin planner. But as the process goes on we have understood to use it. For several times, setting up the pin planner was wrong, but we have known how to use it after playing it for a while. Assigning wire to the ground and power takes times for us at first and it consumes some

This is the part our group has spent more time working on it. The first design we have made was wrong, then again we try our best to build it, but at the end again our design get failed. With the help of the professor we have understand a little, and then we again start working on it. At the end, we have found that we have figured it out that, we were using the wrong bit, then the one we have used in the first lab. The four bit number that we used for the first lab was “0100”. We have implemented the sequence detector from the experiment #1. Finally, we have made it work and again it was hard for our group to know which key to press to display and how the building behavior work. But again, with the help of the professor, we have learned it, at the same time we again explain him what we had done for this part and get sign off. On the second part of it, we have replaced the switches with the function generator. This part was not hard because we were used to work with the function generator. And this part was quickly done. All we did was we just use the 40-pin planner to assign the pin. After we had done this, it displayed the LEDs. But for this one we have decreased the frequency of the two signals to see the detector functioning the LEDs.

On the way from solar cell to the solar module, the output efficiency decreases. For example when a multi-crystalline PV solar cells of 17.8% efficiency is used, the resulting efficiency of a module is around 15.9 to 16.3%. This decrease in efficiency is mainly because of three distinct losses listed below. 1. Optical losses generated by material reflectance and absorption 2.…

First, the Elvis board was connected to a power source and to the computer. A team member then connected the IR optosensor to the Easy Pulse circuit board. Afterwards the Easy Pulse circuit board was wired to the NI Elvis II board using jumper wires, ensuring that the VCC, A0 and GND pins connected to the +5V, AI0+, and AIGND sections respectively. The AI0 was then connected directly to the AIGND on the Elvis board. Once that was done, another team member ran the program Pulse Moniter.vi and instructed the program to read from the physical channel Dev3/ai0.…

The code can appear in several forms, however in this lab the modular approach was used. This form allows the program to be created in sections, and then the sections are compiled together to formulate the code in its entirety. In each part of this lab a code was created using this approach, such as code one which can be seen in Figure 5. After a code, has been completed it is compiled to ensure no errors are present, which would interfere with the output generated on the DE2-115 board.…

There will be various of test to choose from in order to identify the unknown organism, which will eliminate numerous possibilities and narrow it down to one. All the fundamental skills that we have learned and practiced in the lab will be used to perform on our unknown such as aseptic technique, microscopic examination, the use of differential media, and determining if it’s positive or negative. Performing aseptic techniques is the most crucial step that requires the utilizing of transferring, inoculating, and storing bacterial cultures and media. Purpose: The overall goal of this lab was to perform a procedure on E. Coli which involved transferring genes that encoded for the green fluorescent protein into E. Coli to see if the transferred genes would make a difference on the growth and whether or not the bacteria would glow under UV light. Hypothesis: If the bacteria with the pGLO plasmid was grown on a plate containing LB and ampicillin then the bacteria will grow but not glow under UV light. If the bacteria with the pGLO plasmid was grown on a plate containing LB, ampicillin, and arabinose then it will be able to grow and glow under UV light. If the bacteria without pGLO plasmid was grown on a plate containing LB and ampicillin then it will not be able to grow or glow under UV light.…

The burning of magnesium in open air causes a chemical reaction that forms the compound, magnesium oxide. This reaction occurs due to the heat that provides energy to activate the reaction. A blinding white flame will burn as the reaction occurs. In this lab, magnesium is burned in an open crucible over a Bunsen burner several times until the magnesium ceases to burn. This process allows for the magnesium to completely react with the oxygen found in the open air, forming the chemical compound magnesium oxide.…
