After collecting all the results into the above experiment data tables and line graph, it is evident that there is not a great difference in the rate of transpiration between the cold water and water at room temperature. The results in the experiment indicate that cold water transpires at a faster rate than water at room temperature. The results were measured from 0 to 30 minutes. At the fifteen minute mark the transpiration rate for both differed slightly. In trial two and three, the results for the water at room temperature were still at 0ml, and the first trial had gone up by 0.01ml. Therefore nothing much had changed between that time period in comparison to the cold water trials increasing for each trial at the fifteen minute mark, with trial one and two resulting in 0.02ml and trial three in 0.01ml. This resulted in an average transpiration rate of 0.016ml for the fifteen minute mark for cold water and 0.033ml for the water at room temperature. By not altering one of the plants level of sun exposure, it meant that neither of the plants had an advantage over the other by using the sun to photosynthesize. Plants in warmer climates lose extra water through photosynthesis compared to plants that may be in a shadier and much cooler area, as they are not constantly exposed to the sunlight. If one of the plants were exposed to a warmer environment with different atmospheric temperatures and heavy exposure to sunlight then the results would have been different. By having the plants positioned indoors, shaded and not exposed to the sun, gave the experiment somewhat false results. Because to test the experiment correctly, factors such as a plants exposure to the sun to perform photosynthesis is critical to consider for accurate results and plays a major role in reducing their transpiration
