I believe that all students are unique and learn in all different ways. Students need a stimulating and environment for students to grow emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially. In order to do so, an educator needs to provide a safe, supportive atmosphere and environment for the students. I believe that having a good relationship with students, having students learn through curiosity and challenges, and creating lessons that encompass all learning styles allow students to be able to grow through to their fullest potential.
A teacher being able to create a relationship with a student allows students to understand that teachers are there to help rather than just teach. Yes, learning is a big part the education system, but there is a lot that happens outside of the classroom that teachers may not be aware of. Being able to establish a relationship with a student allows you to become a role model for a student and also allows students to want to respect you more and usually work harder for you. What I mean by this is that students should be able to learn about what they want to learn and/or become interested about a concept that the teacher will teach the students. Having students become excited in learning allows students to want to learn more. It allows students to become more engaged and have more meaningful learning. Challenging students also allows students to “push their brains” more. I believe that in order to get students to learn, they need to have work that is a little bit above skill level with the teacher there to guide the students whenever
