Should we allow Syrian refugees to enter the United States?
Terrorism has frightened Americans ever since the 9/11 attack. From there on, airport security has dramatically increased and improved, as well as the restriction of certain objects allowed on planes. Despite those efforts, people still hold the belief of terrorists using the advantage of refugees migrate to other countries, as a way to plan more attacks. Therefore, many discriminations against particularly Muslims occur. We acknowledge that there are many bombings in the Middle East. Humans should offer helps for those in needs, because we are one species, so biologically, we are a family, and family members help each others. Wiesel was unable to understand the reason behind the return of the St. Louis ship, which almost shipped thousands of Jews to America but later deported back to Germany (The History Place - Great Speeches Collection: Elie Wiesel Speech The Perils of Indifference). This situation is very similar to the Syrian refugees. They are escaping from the violence mass killings and bombings in the Middle East, just like how Jews were escaped from the concentrations camp in Germany. Since we had offered copious helps to many countries, in the past history, why don’t we do it again this time? What would we lose if we allow refugees to enter our country? There is no certainty that another terrorist attack will take place in United States, so why don’t we show our kindness in the most feasible way as we can? When Americans allow refugees to reside in the country, we donate life to those who needs help, and we carry our title of being humane and benevolent along with our actions. Kindness will be returned with kindness. If we help someone, we would eventually receive helps during our dark
