Synthetic makeup removers have convenience and the pull of instant application on

their side. In the long run, however, they could harm your face and cause irritation

to your eyes since most of them are loaded with chemicals and toxic ingredients.

Makeup wipes are no better since they contain the same active ingredients as

1. Avocado

Use the oily pulp of an avocado to clean your face with a cotton swab.

Tip: Readymade avocado oil is an easy alternative.

2. Oatmeal

Grains will cleanse and gently exfoliate your skin. Oatmeal is one of the best

examples. To make oatmeal, all you have to do is grind some slow-cooking oats (no

instant oatmeal for this) into a fine powder. For dry skin, add yogurt, milk or cream

to the oatmeal. For oily, add lemon juice, and for normal skin, add peppermint tea.

Gently massage your face with the paste, and rinse with water.

Tip: Always use freshly ground grains. Substitutes for oatmeal are almond flour,

baking soda, rice bran, cornflour.

3. Whole milk

Milk baths were popular with queens in historic times for cleansing and nourishing
