I’m willing to bet that many people don’t think much of their actions every day and what they will cause. Even tiny things like deciding on what to eat for breakfast has an effect on your and possibly others lives. But there are also bigger actions that have shaped the world caused by past people. Some are big and some are small. When people think of the most influential person in history, many individuals come to mind. Great scientists such as Albert Einstein, known for his Theory of Relativity, or Dmitri Mendeleev, creator of the modern-day periodic table. Also people like Gandhi, who led a passive rebellion against Great Britain to create an independant India. There are hundreds, even thousands of candidates, but the one person who deserves …show more content…
People can argue that Jesus Christ was similar in that he too created a religion and was pursued for it. My counter argument is Muhammad played a much bigger role in the creation of Islam than Jesus did in Christianity. Also, unlike Jesus or other religious figures, he was secular because he was the driving force for the Arab conquests. And although 94% of terrorist acts on U.S soil are committed by non-Muslims, you have to take into account the ones that were committed by the. The extremist group Al-qaeda was solely responsible for 9/11. On september 11th, 2001, four planes were hijacked by the group and flown into a several locations including the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania. The group in a single hour cost the U.S. over 2 trillion dollars according to Institute for the Analysis of global security. Today there has been a large amount of activity of ISIS, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, who is a militant group that follows Islamic fundamentalist and main goal is to create a Islamic world using force.
