The United States should make Election Day a national holiday. The country needs a day where Americans can devote their time to the act of voting. Having an Election Day as a national holiday would increase the amount of voters. It would also be a celebration of American’s freedom to vote. A national election holiday would make the process of voting more efficient.
Creating a national election holiday would have a positive impact on the amount of votes casted in a yearly election. Not enough Americans vote for our nation’s leaders. Having a day off from work or school would make it easier for citizens to vote decreasing low voter turnout.
