Roe v Wade has been existent in the United States for forty three years now giving right to women on abortion. Recently, President-elect Donald Trump appointed Supreme Court justices who are against abortion laws; as a part of his campaign.
Trump’s Statement on Roe v. Wade
In a recent interview with Lesley Stahl of CBS, Trump said that “pro-life” judges—who are against the concept of abortion—shall be appointed in the Supreme Court to decide the fate of Roe v. Wade. Now there is a possibility that Roe v. Wade might be rescinded. If that happens, then women will “have to go to another state” for abortions. When Stahl questioned Trump, “And that’s okay?” for the statement, Trump didn’t respond.

Wade is overturned? Well, Mason Pieklo is also worried about the fact that if Congress proposes for a ‘20 week ban on abortion’ or ‘Dilation and Evacuation’ (D&E), then Trump might sign it.
Is Roe v. Wade Safe from Any Angle?
The litigation director of Center for Reproductive Rights, Julie Rikelman thinks that Roe v. Wade cannot be overturned, and she gave three reasons for it.
Firstly, in the last four decades, Roe v. Wade has passed through many threats of being overturned by anti-choice administrations and most notably Justice Anthony Kennedy. The Supreme Court gives significance to precedents and to stare decisis. In stare decisis, the Supreme Court rules that the final verdict was reached after interpreting the constitution properly. So, to challenge this, very strong premises must be given for any argument against the verdict.
Secondly, the Supreme Court has eight Justices now and Trump will appoint the ninth one, who will supposedly be a “pro-life” judge. There are five Justices who are in favor of Roe v. Wade making it secure. Even if one of the supporting Justices dies during Trump’s term in office, Roe v. Wade would still be protected as a
