Legalization of marijuana can decrease violence on the streets and make them a safer place. If we legalize pot, then the police will not have to focus just on this “soft” drug and they can focus down on more serious and dangerous crime activities. Likewise if marijuana was legalized this would cut down on the profit of drug lords and they may not have enough money to produce or transport any other drugs. The CDC shows that 0 deaths have been from marijuana, but I believe that is false. By saying that there has been 0 is basically meaning there has not been as many deaths a year caused by marijuana unlike tobacco and alcohol.
