I am also gonna tell you the medical benefits it has and why it should be legal for recreational use. Then I 'm going to tell you why people think marijuana should be illegal and why their argument is wrong. “In 1545 the Spanish brought marijuana to the New World. The English introduced it in Jamestown in 1611 where it became a major commercial crop alongside tobacco and was grown as a source of fiber” (History Of Marijuana). A lot of controversy had surrounded some people feeling that the government doesn’t want to legalize marijuana to protect financial interesting of certain companies. There are many reasons and benefits on why marijuana should be legal. One of the medical benefits of marijuana is that it helps with labor contractions and muscle spasms. Labor contractions usually cause discomfort in your lower back and lower abdomen and can be really uncomfortable. Marijuana can also help cut the amount of the muscle relaxer pills someone has to take or can even replace them. Another medical benefit of marijuana is that it can help relieve symptoms from chemotherapy. Many cancer patients have to deal with treatment symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, mood disorders, fatigue, weight loss, anorexia, constipation, sexual function, sleep disorders and pain. Marijuana helps patients go through treatment a lot easier and helps with most of the symptoms.
