Express and Reflect Essay Once every year, some of the nation's best travel to a destination to compete not only for glory and fame, but to stand on the first place podium to be crowned the nation's best college wrestler throughout the nation, is a special time for them. Especially for me as well. College teams like Iowa, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, and many more from around the nation travel to one location to face off and battle for the crown, however; only ten wrestlers can win it all. Personally, I enjoy this time because ever since I was little, wrestling is by far my favorite sport. Another thing is that whenever you watch the NCAA’s, you will always be entertained without a doubt. Sometimes, there is the annual number one seed vs. the number sixteen seed matchup, however; there have been times that the lowest seed had won against the top kid in the nation. And finally you can always learn a thing or two while watching the NCAA’s. Whether watching back a move and learning how to do it, or by watching how hard these kids work in the off-season to be the best, or by a simple life lesson. Another example is people talk about what wrestlers have given up for the sport to be able to be good. They could have lost a parent or a friend or grown up in a hard neighborhood or could of been homeless. This also explains the hard times they had gone through.
