Cheer is a sport that not everyone can understand. Of course, there are the people who disagree and say cheer is not a sport and then there are the cheerleaders who say it is. It only clicks to some people who really find the potential in themselves to dedicate their life to it. Not only is it a sport, it is an activity that creates a new life. Cheer takes a lot of dedication because it takes a great amount of physical activity, a healthy and positive mindset, and it builds a whole new family with your teammates. Cheerleading is just like any other sport when it comes to physical activity. It is always good to stay active and keep working out your body. Cheer takes a lot of energy and a lot of working out days. You can’t do cheer with weak arms or legs because the whole point is to have strong motions and be able to toss a girl in the air. Cheerleading is different from other sports because instead of throwing a ball, we’re throwing a human. Of course, we always catch our human! It takes a lot of cardio as …show more content…
It does not matter what the situation is, if one person is negative, the whole squad is negative. If you have a negative attitude, you will drop stunts and not put in all the motivation for you or your team. When competing, a negative mindset will not get you a high score for your team. It may not seem like it, but the judges can see when a team is negative or positive. It shows in their motions, stunts, and facials. If their facial expressions are a straight face and not smiling, they can see that which shows that they do not want to win! It is always mandatory to practice with a smile even if you are not competing at that moment. Cheer has always been a positive sport because you 're cheering on a team to do better and encouraging them to keep pushing. You can’t encourage someone to be positive if you aren 't positive and not smiling! Competition is the same way. Keep smiling and cheer on your own

The girls in cheerleading have practice regularly and they practice their routines and stunts at every practice to make it better. Just like any other sports cheerleaders have to be physically able to do all of the routines otherwise they won’t make the cut. “Not only is it obviously athletic to the eyes, but cheerleading also fits the literal definition.” There is so much information that backs up cheerleading as a sport like: they need to train and workout, there is competitions, the girls have to attend practices, and the whole point of cheerleading is to execute the routine better than the other teams. I think that this idea is one of the strongest reason cheerleading should be a sport though there is many other reasons cheerleading should be included as a…
