Mrs. Smith has been on perio maintenance for three years. She goes to the periodontal office every three months. Recently, she missed her three-month recall because she experienced pain in the upper-left last molar. Since, Mrs. Smith has been going to the perio office for the past three years every three months, she should be aware that discomfort may occur after and during treatment. For perio maintenance patients, the health status is always discussed during the visit as well as OHI. Mrs. Smith needs to be reinformed because the disease could progress if she discontinues her three-month recall. Yet the disease could be progressing around that area as well. Therefore, is very important for us to see radiographs to know her oral status. As
