Does she still have a positive attitude towards school?
• If Hallie does not have a positive attitude towards school, it is likely that there are sources of stress/dislike that are causing her to have negative feelings.
4. How is she doing on her homework?
• Hallie’s parents can tell the group how Hallie does with homework outside of school and whether she is struggling or frustrated. Homework can be a great source of stress for children but it will only increase as she progresses through her school career. Ann can also share with the group the quality and correctness of Hallie’s homework that she turns in at school. If she is having an issue with a homework assignment then Ann can use that information to adjust her curriculum or meet with Hallie one-on-one in order to help her succeed.
5. How has Hallie’s handwriting progressed?
• It is important to talk to Larry, the occupational therapist, about Hallie’s handwriting skills and other motor skills that are of concern. Larry can also give Ann tips on how to help Hallie with her handwriting in class.
