Instead of spending my time on such things then I'll spend my time loving and showing compassion to others. The poem Time is really focused on that time is “swift” or “slow” when you are not loving. I don't want to waste any of the time that I have on earth on things that are unnecessary for too long. If there is a way to get the best life has to offer, I think it is a good idea to at least try. One last thing that I will take away from this paired reading is that I should not judge anyone. The narrator could have judged kyle based upon how he looked and how he was doing when he first saw him but he didn't. Instead of judging him, he decided to help him. It is possible that maybe the narrator could have just helped him pick his glasses up and then leave but he didn’t. The narrator took the time to get to get to know kyle by spending time with him because he didn't judge him completely. When the narrator helped kyle he prevented him from doing something and he saved his life. If the narrator had not decided to help kyle then kyle would not have survived. I would not want to prejudge someone and then allow something to happen that could have been prevented if I have just been open …show more content…
It was interesting to see the paired reading from other people’s perspectives. I will not always see something in a reading that could be very interesting. Being able to see more than what I come up with was cool. Something else that I also liked about working with a group for this project was the fact that we had someone to talk to and have them help you put a thought into words. Sometimes I have a thought for an answer in my mind but it is only in bits and pieces. It is easier to mention the pieces to someone else so you can work together and make a complete thought. Often when I am working by myself I can’t necessarily put it all together in a sentence that makes sense. Something that I liked about working with the group was that we all did our part. In some classes, when there is a group project assigned, there is usually an uneven amount of work that is completed between the students. With this particular assignment though we all did our own part of the work and everything was fair. It was nice to be able to work together. There was one thing that I didn't like though. Since there were four of us thinking out loud at the same time it took more time than it usually would if I were working by myself. I didn't mind that it took more time, it was just that our schedule’s did not match very much so it was difficult to find a set time to work on it at after school. If we had spent a little more time thinking about when we would
