Newly hired employees want to have an informative and effective onboarding process, yet complete it with enough time to focus on their individual roles and success within the organization. It is stated in an online article titled, “How Technology Can Improve Employee Onboarding” that, “A successful onboarding process can result in increased productivity, shortened ramp-p time, greater employee engagement, and less turnover, to make this happen, its important to invest in technology that will set your employees up for success, and make those crucial first weeks (or months) enjoyable and productive.”(Klemp, 2015). My suggestion for this would be to incorporate videos into the onboarding process; instead of running down a list of names of important individuals in the organization, allow the employee to put a face to the name; having all important personnel creating a video welcoming the new employee can have a positive effect on the employees onboarding
