From the story “Of mice and men” by John Steinbeck. Lennie should be killed because he hurts a lot of people and he also has some problems with his mind, physical problems and some people thought that George should not have killed Lennie because they were friends but Lennie would have killed by someone else anyway. George should have killed Lennie because he cannot hurt anyone anymore because if he is still alive he could hurt someone else without knowing that he is hurting them, when he was alive, he kills a lot of things like Curley’s wife, mice, etc. and he also knows what he has done but he will still do it anyway, it might be without purpose but he is still hurt people. “I done a bad thing. Also, George will never let someone like Curley kill his own best friend so he kills his best friend by himself must be the best choice. Curley said “I’m gonna get him. I’m going for my shotgun. I’ll kill the big son-of-a-bitch myself.” (Steinbeck 96). George said “I’ll come. But listen, Curley. The poor bustard’s nuts. Don’t shoot ‘im. He di’nt know what he was doin’.” (Steinbeck 98). From the quotes, Curley was furious that his wife died and he knows that it was Lennie did this so he really wants to kill him by himself and shot him in the guts but George told him not to shoot him because he does not know what was he doing because Lennie was dumb. George should have killed Lennie in the story “Of Mice and Men” because from the story the character “Lennie” was a troublemaker for George. He always brought troubles to George and he also has some problems with his mind so that made him act like a kid, always do thing after George and if Lennie is still alive he might hurt more people, even though they were best friend and George should not have killed Lennie because of that but someone else will kill him
