Consumerism; eating our society up one child at a time. Consumerism is a modern movement for the protection of the consumer against useless, inferior, or dangerous products, misleading advertising, and unfair pricing and its all around us. One of the many places we see consumerism is in our car industry. In the car industry car dealers will only tell you what they want you to hear in order to sell you their product, for this reason when buying a car many people tend to just look on the outside and like how it looks so they buy it without really doing their research on the car to find problems with the car is any. This was not the case for me. In buying a car I wanted to make sure it would be able to fulfill all my needs with minimal problems. …show more content…
I am interested in buying this product because I attend many baseball games for this reason I need a car with a big enough trunk to fit my brothers baseball equipment, as well as enough interior room to accomodate baseball players and it falls perfectly within my budget. Although other cars like the kia optima could work the 2016 Nissan Altima can do it more effectively and is the best choice for me it has great space, falls within my price range, and is overall efficiency. First off, the 2016 Nissan Altima has great trunk and interior space. In the article “Road Test: Nissan Altima; Going Higher it states “ It's not just sporty. This five-seater is a great everyday driver, with a generous trunk lined with a grocery net that handily accommodated my …show more content…
“The 2016 Altima 2.5 SL starts at $28,570. Price as tested is $32,115, including $2,710 in options (glass roof and safety-technology package) and a $835 factory-to-dealer charge. You can bargain on this one.” (2016 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL does a good job of being an everyday family car). Although the 2016 Nissan is a little more on the pricey side it will be the most reliable while driving. As the quote above states this specific package comes with a glass roof as well as safety technology which is well worth the extra pricing to ensure I have the most reliable and safest ride. On the flip side, the Kia Optima is on the cheaper side end of my budget and will save me some money. “With a sticker a shade over $21,000, our Optima was the least expensive. Kia has a very refined product here. If budget is one of your primary concerns, the Optima is definitely worth more than a glance.” (All in the family: testing eight of the most popular cars in America). The Kia Optima is on the cheaper side of the cars closest to its kind (2016 Nissan Altima) while also being very refined and luxurious. As stated in “All in the family: testing eight of the most popular cars in America” and “2016 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL does a good job of being an everyday family car” the Nissan Altima is more expensive than the Kia Optima, however the package of the Nissan comes with more. Deciding between an Elantra or a Camry Three years ago, my old pickup truck sustained major problems. The truck wasn’t going to survive much longer, so I decided to shop around for a new car. The Hyundai Elantra and the Toyota Camry were the two cars that I liked the most; therefore, I researched both cars to see which car was the best choice. During my research, I found that the Elantra and the Camry listed around the same price; however the Elantra listed a little cheaper. The Elantra has a more generous basic warranty than that of the Camry.…
