I am eager to apply for a full time position at New York Wild! both as an Educational Program Assistant/ Caretaker and an Operations Assistant. Two of my greatest passions are caring for animals and teaching, and after fourteen years in the film industry, I am seeking to move into a career working with animals. My dream job is one in which I interact directly with animals and one in which I can inspire others to help protect all life on our planet.

One of my inspirations for changing careers came from teaching documentary filmmaking. The subject of our documentary was climate change, and because of the intense research that went into understanding the causes, impacts, and solutions for climate change, I ended up teaching science lessons for

    2) In the movie Dances with Wolves I thought that the cinematography was done very well throughout and that it was a very important aspect to the film’s success. As the movie progresses, beautiful scenery is captured and an old time in our history is portrayed. The reason why this film contains such great cinematography is because it allows us to visualize the story and create a very strong and emotional attachment for the characters. The film also was very successful in using the proper techniques of lighting and camera positions. The importance behind these two are huge because they determine the type of mood in which the film is captured.…

The definition of a black film would seem to be an easy standard to mutually agree on. Films about the people and culture of the African diaspora would satisfy most definitions, but issues arrive when black people are poorly represented and stereotyped or when the definition excludes other cultures from discussing black culture when they could also give a fair and thoughtful representation in Black Cinema. Thomas Lott argues that it can be hard to identify what makes quality black films because there must be an analysis of the separate concepts blackness and cinema. In his article “ “A No-Theory Theory of Contemporary Black Cinema,” Lot provides a compelling reason why his no theory approach provides a satisfying and open-ended approach to defining Black Cinema. Lott references Thomas Cripps’ Black film as Genre, Cripps to discuss a proposed definition of Black films to be defined as movies produced, written, directed, performed by, and performed for black people.…

    Film Analysis: The Tribe

This movie, The Tribe, is a brutal but brilliant story about a deaf teenager, Sergey, struggling to fit into his new, specialized boarding school for the deaf in Ukraine. There is no dialogue, subtitles, or background music. However, this affects every other small sound such as footsteps, heavy breathing, and car engines intensifying the mood. Also, the bleak settings and surroundings of the characters create the dreary landscape and exaggerate the bitterness and feeling of an amoral environment. The characters only communicate through sign language and actions.…

In the real estate land of reality television, “The Million Dollar Listing New York”, depicts agents displaying negative emotions in the worst way, in front of the potential buyer. Their behavior tends to range from passive-aggressive to just plain aggressive behavior in the most blatantly cruel way. But unfortunately, there is truer than fiction in dealing with people with unresolved issues, much like the previous episode between Ryan and Fredrik. When Ryan handed his business card to client's of Fredrik at a previous engagement right in front of him. Likewise, Fredrik is no apparent saint either, he was caught trying to steal client from Ryan in a prior episode.…

If one were to ask a young girl want she wants to be when she grows up, she would proudly say a princess, or maybe a rock star. I’ve never been the typical girl though and my answer was always different. Some days I wanted to be a dog trainer or a zookeeper and being a marine biologist wouldn’t be too bad. In middle school I realized what all these jobs had in common; animals. I knew whole heartedly that I wanted to work with them, to improve not only their health and welfare, but also that of the community they were in.…

What was important in the film "Doubt", was the toll that that lack of faith or doubt, in this case, can have on an individual. During the beginning of the film we are introduced to sister Aloysius, a strict nun who does not tolerate any form of misconduct at the school she is in charge of, she is viewed as very cold and stern. Sister Aloysius has a strong feeling that one of the pastors, Father Flynn has touched one of the students. Throughout the movie, Sister Aloysius plays a game of cat and mouse with Father Flynn as she is persistent and sure of his wrongdoing. The climax finally arises once Sister Aloysius lies and tells Father Flynn that another nun from a previous parish community is willing to help strip him of his position unless he resigns on his own.…
