The Indian population was most effected by small pox. Their immune systems were not ready for the diseases. They were mostly isolated during these times. The disease was spread by air or touch. Small pox killed as much as 90% of the native population. Small pox was widely mis-diagnosed, which lead to killing of tens of thousands of people.
