Also located in the JFHQ is the National Guard Counterdrug (CD) Program. Since 1989, the National Guard, works with their state Governor in conjunction with interagency organizations to perform interdiction and anti-drug activities in a fight against illicit drugs. The type of military support provided by the National Guard can range reconnaissance, technical assistance, general support, civil operations, and counterdrug training.
