Most people have their favorite childhood Folklore stories, Scandinavian Lore is the Folklore of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland.
Legends, Myths, and Fairy Tales are a type of Folklore which are normally confused, and hard to identify.
Folklore is a collection of stories passed down from generation to generation that include Legends, Myths, and Fairy Tales. Generally a popular story passed from one age to the next.
Legends are a traditional story sometimes commonly considered as past but confirmed and from earlier times. Sometimes romantic, other times explanatory.
Myths are a traditional story, mainly about the early history of a person or an explanation of some natural or general occurrence, and generally including a supernatural beings or events.
Fairy Tales are kid stories generally about magical and imaginary things including: people, places, and things.
Scandinavian folklore or the Nordic Folklore includes the countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland. The highly concentrated lore is mythology. The use of mythological characters are used a lot in this lore. They believed that if they died in battle they would go live with the Gods, they use the them in their stories to honor the glory of Gods.
