I wish that I had a super convicting story of how I found Jesus, and how I then started to follow him. I didn’t go through a crazy life changing event, I didn’t grow up in a rough home, I was instead, just brought up in a faithful environment. My story of becoming a christian is pretty ordinary, but I just like anyone else who became a christian, I still had to accept christ in my heart. My parents and most of my extended family are christians, so I never was surrounded by people who believed in anything else. When I was seven years old, I accepted the Lord as my savior and I was baptized and truthfully became a christian. The way I see it, is that there are many appealing aspects to being a christian. There is a Lord, who not only created us, but knows every single one of us by name. The most comforting thing to me is that he knows me. Somedays when I feel really really lonely and have no one to talk to, I remember, that there is no way that I could ever be alone because there is someone watching over me. Christianity also gives me hope because I do not have to fear death like many other non believers do. Instead, death is something that we await with joy, in a sense. Clearly I do not want to die, but it is comforting to know that when I do die, I have something to look forward to. Christians have the ability to spend eternity with God, in heaven, something that many other people do not believe in. These are just a couple of positive aspects to being a christian.…
